Fire Inspector 101 is a half-day training focused on the fundamentals of stepping into the role of a fire inspector.
Designed for both new and experienced professionals, this course emphasizes the mindset and approach needed to be effective in the field—from communication and professionalism to understanding the balance between enforcement and education. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to refine your approach, this training provides a practical foundation for success.

Join us for an in-depth seminar covering the hazardous materials provisions found in the 2021 International Fire Code (IFC) and International Building Code (IBC). This training will explore key requirements for facilities utilizing hazardous materials, with a focus on the critical coordination between fire and building code applications during plan review, inspections, and enforcement. Attendees will also receive an overview of significant hazardous materials-related updates included in the 2024 IFC.
We are excited to welcome Terrell Stripling back as this year’s instructor. Terrell brings extensive knowledge and real-world experience in hazardous materials code application and has become a valued resource for many of our members across North Texas.
