For this month's training/discussion topic will be on the impact of Texas HB2488 and what the new legislation means for fire inspections of food trucks across North Texas. This session will provide an overview of the legislation that goes into effect on July 1, 2026, clarify how it affects local AHJ responsibilities, and discuss what changes fire prevention personnel may see moving forward.
In addition to the legislative update, we’ll also review common fire code requirements related to food trucks and share best practices for coordinating inspections with other city departments.

As questions around these systems continue to grow across North Texas, this session will cover system design concepts, applicable IFC and NFPA requirements, inspection considerations, and an open Q&A for attendees.
